Earlier on in the release cycle, I had extensive experience with Grealish. His IF card was the very first thing I bought and he was absolutely amazing -- until the defenders got faster and this beloved card was no longer viable in the higher divisions. So when I saw that he got a TOTY Honorable Mention, and a free one to boot, words can't express how happy I was to add Grealish back to my team. Now the formation I run is a 4-4-1-1, so he would slot in at CF. I used an unconventional but highly effective CF in SIF Zaha, but I won't compare the two as they are totally different from each other. I slapped on Hunter on him and he is on 10 chem, so let's get into it.
Pace - He's fast. I mean, you can see what Hunter does for him on Futbin. He definitely belongs out there at this stage of the game.
Dribbling - I used his IF before and I knew what I was getting into. This guy is a left stick dribbler's wet dream. Everything about him feels snappy and smooth, he can turn out of danger in a moment's notice. Probably one of the best dribblers I've used this year, he's right there on the Dybala tier just below Neymar.
Passing - Serviceable. He can easily be the heart and soul of your team, but that's not his role in my team. Rarely ever misplaces a pass unless EA wants him to.
Shooting - As expected with Hunter, he can shoot, and he can shoot really, really well. He gets into positions where he is so close to goal that his weak foot is practically nonexistent. Fantastic finisher.
Defending - If you were planning on using him for anything remotely defensive, seek help.
Physicality - It is a good thing his dribbling is so good you can just weave your way out of trouble. His physical stats are pitiful, but he's not too much of a light weight because of his balance. Still, expect the odd bulldozer or two from a CB.
Overall, this is a very fun card to use and he's one of the best free CAMs we're probably going to see from the Prem for a bit (maybe the whole game, who knows). He's good enough to operate as a second striker on your team or be the creative force behind every attacking move.
Dribbling. His best attribute lives up to the hype.
Pace. He can hang with some of the pace demons in this game.
Shooting. Constantly gets into good positions and buries his chances.
3* WF. Because it is so easy to get him onto his right foot you won't really notice it, but it is something to think about.
so i was bored then this amazing card came i had my rashford (gold) and he came his objectives maybe is a little hard hes fast with hunter his dribbling amazing if u using him as a cdm hes bad at defending rarely takes the ball he shoots a good shot his physical is meh but its free so i cant complain good agility and balance whats bad is his weakfoot (3) and his 89 composure is good 89 ball control is amazing for a cam and his passing is amazing for a cam he cannot play striker because of the pace but u can use anybody like rashford werner ings (headliner) for low budget
for high u can use vardy special card kane rulebreaker
so i got this card maybe 2 days after it came out, ever since it has been a stunner for my club...
i only came to write this review after 140 games or so with him, as the games is pretty inconsistent with all the scripting all...
i will leave all the pros and cons below as there isn't too much explaining...
first off he makes insane runs, he positions himself into great space, usually replaces the striker if the striker is out of position.
secondly, his shooting is on point! if i have to be honest, yes there are some times where is shooting is just bad and he misses some sitters but overall his shooting is so good, even his longshots with a finesse shot is even better.
passing, i'll keep it short and simple, it's just good and precise.
defending, not much to say either, hes not a defender so dont expect too much special defending from him
physical, its decent, stamina is there, strength isn't really there, but at some points where he has the ball, he can hold on to the ball and shrug off defenders, so its pretty mediocre.
pace, amazing, especially with the hunter chemistry style, he's rapid. nothing too much to say as well.
dribbling, amazing (as well) he can get past defenders with ease ?
d
the three-star weak foot (keep in mind he will be upgraded to 4* weak foot) but even with his 3* weak foot he was still decent but wasn't reliable
defending
the workrates, but its all a lie, he is pretty good and makes reallt good attacking runs. one thing to note as well, he plays really well when put in the CAM position compared to any other position for some reason. so if you put him at CM that MED/MED workrate will come into play sadly. so try to keep him at CAM.
After trying him for 6 games I feel like he is one of those players that are more than just decent, but also don't have anything special about them. Although I have to say his passing is extremly good. For an offensive player his pace is good enough but nothing great. Combined with his dribbling he feels quite fast and agile, but has no chance against 90+ pace players (even with hunter). He is quite tall which is why he's not the stupidly agile type of player like Sterling, but it makes his strength feel better than the 69 stat on the card (more like ~75). His stamina is good enough. Bad jumping doesn't really matter and his low aggression might become a problem if you play him anywhere behind the CAM position. Shooting felt really good, curve shots were very effective with his strong foot and even with his weak foot he scored when he was close to the goal. His defending obviously isn't really good, but for a CAM it is more than enough and I even think with a chem style he could be played at CM in a 41212.
Overall I would say he is a great playmaker in a 4231 formation (that is where I mostly played him), but is also useable on the wing (if you are okay with his pace there) or as an attacking CM. Passing is his best attribute, which is nice to have for build up play, but not enough to be a game changing player in offense in Fifa 21.
The card is actually really good and enjoyable to play with. When I grinded for him I expected him to feel like driving a truck. Everyone and there nan should do this objective great card. Playing him at rcm and hes doing wonders. Popped a shadow on him and he feels like mbappe.
With hunter.
Pace is good
Shooting is good
Passing is brilliant
Great dribbling.
86 stamina
Terrible defense but if your not playing him cdm your good.
Im not going to sit here and lie to you like most reviews, this card is bang average, he could be a lot better. If EA are going to give someone out for free, they're going to make sure he's not OP or endgame. He's an ok player, but you can easily get better players. But he is free which is a massive +, but sadly hes not that good in game. Id give him a 7/10 as an overall card
